Getting to + from the city

Terminals
Single terminal with two atrium sides (Domestic North + Domestic South) connected to 7 concourses (T, A, B, C, D, E, F) by an underground Plane Train (running every 2 minutes, 24/7). F is international. Walking concourses end-to-end is over 1 mile — take the train. Delta uses every concourse; they're the dominant carrier.
What's actually good
One Flew South (E concourse) is the only US airport restaurant ever to make Best New Restaurant lists — Southern-Asian fusion, sushi bar. Sky Lanes (T concourse) does a real cocktail program. Delta Sky Club at F is a great international layover option. Free art throughout — the permanent collection is one of the best in any US airport.
Avoid
Booking sub-90-min international-to-domestic connections (F-to-any-other-concourse is a real walk + Plane Train). Skipping TSA PreCheck if you fly through ATL more than twice a year — the regular line at 5 AM is 60+ min. Renting a car at ATL itself if you're not driving far — use the off-site SAV ATL Rental Center.
