Narita Express (N'EX) to Shinjuku in 80 min, ¥3,250 (JR Pass valid). Keisei Skyliner to Ueno in 41 min, ¥2,570. Limousine Bus to major hotels ¥3,200, 70–120 min. Taxi ¥22,000+ (~$140) — NRT is 60 km from central Tokyo so it's expensive. HND is the closer alternative if your flight has a choice.

What's actually good
JAL Sakura Lounge + ANA Suite Lounge are top-tier. United Polaris (T1) is the best US-carrier option. Food: skip the chains, eat at Sora no Iro (T2, soba) or the airside conveyor sushi at T1. Free Wi-Fi works flawlessly. Smoking rooms in every terminal.
Avoid
Booking under-2-hour connections at NRT (security + immigration are real). Confusing NRT with HND (different airport, 60 km apart). Renting a JR Pass at the airport without comparing online prices first. Trying to take the cheap bus to Tokyo without booking — limited seats sell out at peak.
