Seattle–Tacoma International Airport
Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is a major hub airport near Seattle in United States. This page covers the essentials — IATA + ICAO codes, location, live flight status, and hotels nearby.
Getting to + from the city
Link Light Rail to Downtown Seattle in 40 min for $3.50. Connects directly under the terminal. Sound Transit Bus 560 to Bellevue. Taxi to Downtown $50–60 + tip. Uber/Lyft $35–50. The light rail is the easy choice — runs every 10 min, no traffic risk.
Terminals
Single integrated terminal with A, B, C, D, N, S concourses. Alaska Airlines is the dominant carrier (their main hub). S-concourse = international + AA + Delta international. Walking concourses end-to-end is 20+ min — the underground SeaTac SAS train (subway shuttle) is faster.
What's actually good
Centurion Lounge (B) — Amex Platinum, Seattle-themed menu. Delta Sky Club at S is the best for Sky travelers. The Club at SEA (Priority Pass). Food: Beecher's Handmade Cheese (Pike Place mac n cheese), Anthony's Fish Bar (Pacific NW seafood), Top Pot Doughnuts. Mount Rainier visible from many gates on clear days.
Avoid
Booking flights through SEA in late October (fog delays) or January (snow + de-icing). Driving I-5 to/from SEA during rush — Link Light Rail is faster. Renting at airport rates without checking off-airport (Burien or Tukwila locations often half). Buying coffee at the airport Starbucks vs. waiting for the city — Pacific NW coffee deserves better.
