Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Pyflo collects when you use pyflo.com, how it's used, who it's shared with, and the choices you have. By using Pyflo you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1a. Data you provide

Search queries — the text you type into Pyflo is sent to our servers to generate an answer. Queries are stored in our database so we can serve cached answers faster and improve our service.
Feedback — when you click 👍/👎 or leave a comment, we save the rating and comment text alongside the associated query.

1b. Data collected automatically

IP address — used to enforce rate limits, detect abuse, and infer your country for region-appropriate answers. We do not sell IP-linked data.
User-Agent and timezone — to detect device type and timezone for relevance.
Click events — when you click a product link or retailer badge, we log the query, product name, store, and click position (not your identity).
Cookies / local storage — we store your theme preference in browser localStorage. Analytics and advertising cookies are set by the third parties listed below.

2. How We Use It

To generate answers to your queries.
To cache answers so repeat questions are served faster.
To improve our AI pipeline by reviewing aggregate patterns (popular topics, error rates, quality scores).
To detect and block abuse (rate limiting, bot filtering).
To serve geographically relevant product recommendations.

3. Third-Party Services

3a. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (measurement ID G-L2KT4TCP2T) to understand aggregate usage. Google Analytics sets cookies and may transmit your IP (masked) to Google. Opt out via Google's opt-out browser add-on.

3b. Google AdSense

Pyflo uses Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-2993146794499155) to serve display ads. Google and its partners use cookies and device identifiers to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. EEA, UK, and Swiss visitors are shown a consent banner via Google's Certified CMP. You can:

Opt out of personalized ads at Google Ads Settings.
Opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.com (EU).

3c. Affiliate retailers

When you click a product link, you are redirected to a retailer (Amazon, Best Buy, Home Depot, Canadian Tire, Walmart, etc.) and their own privacy policy applies. Pyflo does not share identifying information with retailers beyond what the browser sends during the redirect.

4. Data Retention

Cached answers — kept indefinitely so repeat questions load faster and so answers can be indexed by search engines.
Raw query logs — rotated periodically; older logs are aggregated to remove identifiers.
Rate-limit buckets — kept in memory only and expire within the hour.

5. Your Rights

5a. GDPR (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to processing or restrict it. To exercise these rights, email hello@pyflo.com.

5b. CCPA (California)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to have it deleted, and to opt out of the "sale" of personal information. Pyflo does not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, email hello@pyflo.com.

5c. Canadian residents (PIPEDA)

Canadian users may request access to or correction of their personal data by contacting us.

6. Children

Pyflo is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, email us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use TLS 1.2+ for all traffic, rate-limit abusive requests, and isolate our infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure; we do not guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with an updated date at the top of this page.
