About the iPhone Air — What You Should Know

As of March 2026, there is no iPhone model called 'iPhone Air'. Apple's current iPhone lineup includes the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone 17 Plus. You may be thinking of one of these, or possibly confusing it with the iPad Air (which is a real product line).

Before you buy, clarify what you actually need:

• iPhone 17 — the base model, great value, handles everything most people do.
• iPhone 17 Plus — larger screen, longer battery, same specs as base model.
• iPhone 17 Pro — better camera system, faster processor, always-on display, premium materials.
• iPhone 17 Pro Max — largest screen, best camera, best battery life, most expensive.

The 'Air' naming is used by Apple for iPad Air (a mid-range tablet between base iPad and iPad Pro). If you want a mid-range iPhone with a bigger screen and better battery than the base model but do not need the Pro features, the iPhone 17 Plus is your move.

Pro tip: Check what matters most to you: screen size (Plus), camera quality (Pro/Pro Max), or battery life (Plus or Pro Max). The base iPhone 17 is genuinely capable — do not overpay for features you will not use.
